Redemption Missions

Redemption Missions are a fellowship of prisoners, ex-prisoners, their families, and friends of faith. We seek to mold prison formed faith into the walk of discipleship. The mission of the Redemption Missions is to cultivate and empower peer leaders who can reach out and help others with similar life experiences. Inmates have the opportunity to visit with family members and even share a meal provided by churches or brought by family members. Having the opportunity to socialize in a relaxed environment is significant in allowing inmates to begin to think about transitioning back into community.

Worship is at a non-traditional time with a service on Sunday afternoon and on Thursday evening. Please call the specific church for worship times. Classes such as Thinking for a Change, Relapse Prevention, Parenting for Prevention, Disciples Bible Study, Computer Literacy, Confirmation, Anger Management, AA, NA and Cage Your Rage are also offered.

Clothing Closet

All three Redemption Missions have clothing closets. Inmates who are transported to church have an opportunity to shop for clothes for church, job interviews, jobs and clothing for when they are released. The clothing closet also helps the homeless in their areas. Donations are always welcome.
